One catalogue, many marketplaces: listings, prices and competitors in one place

Connections to Amazon, Shopify, eBay and TikTok Shop that keep listings and prices in step, watch competitors' prices and move slow stock on with planned price drops.

  • 12Amazon marketplaces
  • 11 yearsof automatic price updates

The client

A UK online retailer with hundreds of thousands of listings across 12 Amazon marketplaces, its own web shop, eBay and TikTok Shop.

The challenge

Every marketplace has its own fees and rules, and a price that works on one can lose money on another. Competitors change prices many times a day, and slow-selling stock ties up cash and space. The retailer needed one place to see each product on every channel, set prices with the true cost in view, and push changes out quickly and safely.

What we built

  • Direct connections to Amazon (12 marketplaces, including stock in Amazon's own warehouses), Shopify, TikTok Shop and eBay
  • Orders, listings, fees and returns downloaded automatically through the day
  • Price changes pushed to every channel from one screen
  • Competitor tracking that is told the moment a rival changes price on Amazon
  • Planned markdowns for slow sellers, and automatic repricing to break-even when an item reaches clearance
  • Safeguards that hold back any price change that would make a loss or cut a price in half by mistake

What's next

A rules-based repricing engine, now being built, proposes price changes with a confidence score for staff to approve, moving to automatic approval as trust builds.

Technical details

Separate client libraries cover the Amazon Selling Partner API, the Shopify Admin GraphQL API, TikTok Shop (OAuth and request signing) and eBay, with per-channel download and repricing tasks in a background service.

Amazon price-change notifications arrive through AWS SQS, with a scheduled batch pull for anything they miss. The new engine is deliberately rules-based rather than AI-driven, so every decision is cheap, repeatable and auditable.
